Location: Germany is located in central Europe. It is surrounded by Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands. The northern parts of the country touch the North and Baltic Seas.
Size: Germany is 357,022 square kilometers and it is the 63rd biggest country in the world. According to http://mapfight.appspot.com/us-vs-de/united-states-germany-size-comparison , the United States is 26.96 times bigger than Germany.
Terrain: In southern Germany, the Bavarian Alps are located. These are highly elevated and very green. Up north by the North and Baltic Seas, the terrain is fairly low and flat and not very elevated.
